Skimboarding in Japan is much more important than the most people imagine, and level of japanese skimboarders too! Good evidence of this words will be 14th anniversary of SKIMONE (skimshop and organizar of skim events) and skimming has been practiced there for more than 20 years.
Our boards had very good results in our first shipment a few years ago and number of skimmers riding our DOGFLUT boards increasing year by year.
For this reason and thanks to the collaboration of Osami and Takatoshi, Skim1 responsibles, a new project was born to créate a small team of Japanese Doglfut riders. The chosen ones to first step are two great and very experienced champion girls: Aki Nosho (@kokokoperi) y Naoko Takasu (@takasunaoko). Passionate and happy to be part because as the say: “Dogflut boards are undoubtedly the best, because are stable, maintain speed and are very fast after turning. And besides, the logo is very cute … hehehe!”
Locals from Arai beach, in Hamamatsu/Shizuoka, both have great victories and podiums repeatedly in the most important skim competitions in Japan, as ALL JAPAN SKIMBOARING CHAMPIONSHIP or the SKIMONE CHALLENGE CUP, which both have won. As well as other contests such as NARUTO Cup or MAZAR Cup. Like almost everyone, they dream of competing in international championships and skim mythical beaches as Laguna Beach or Cabo San Lucas.
However, we will increase Japanese team with another rider who competes in the Open category as in Spain, Portugar or Brasil. For that reason… If you are Japanese and you are interested, get in touch!
