A new edition of our INTRAFALGAR Dogflut and once again, it did not disappoint anyone. As always, the waves did not fail the event and thanks to the collaboration of the Spanish Surfing Federation, the Barbate council and above all and all the staff: from judges, collaborators, friends to improvised speakers , all attendees enjoyed the great show that the riders offered in world-class waves.
Spanish and European skimboarding continues on an upward trend and the best example is that the participation record in a skim event was broken, with more than 100 participants in the different categories, among which many of the best in Europe or the champion stand out. from the UST world circuit, the Brazilian Lucas Fink.
As the second stop of the EURO SKIM TOUR, the event held in Faro de Trafalgar as the Spanish stage; after the International in Portugal and the championship that will be held in France in October.
In the OPEN Men’s category it was Lucas, who took the title with an unbeatable performance, beating two members of the Spanish Skimboard Team, our Juanlu Gonzálezz and Javi Sola, both ahead of our Portuguese rider Miguel Braz.
In Women OPEN division, it was the Portuguese Pipa Pinto who achieved victory of the seventh edition of the Intrafalgar and strengthened her position at the top of the European tour classification ahead of Eva Ureña and the French Annabelle Bianchi, who they left behind in the semifinals to our Xoxe Conde, 2022 champion. Fourth was also the Portuguese Kika Freire, who could not offer her best version in the final, after her victory in Portugal.
In under 18, the result in the first two positions was a carbon copy of the Portuguese stage with the two youngest members of the Spanish national team in first and second place: our dearest and youngsters Ale Montañés and Nico Morales; which mathematically confirm his success in the junior category of the European tour. Gonzalo Caro and Enrique Pérez completed the podium.
There was also room for the little ones, as well as the older ones, to show that the health of skimboarding remains strong. In the sub-14 it was Nacho Parames who beat Miguel Sao Pedro and in the Master category, the Portuguese Filipe Macedo beat a national skim classic, Janovi Ródenas, who continues firing year after year.
